Juliet Ayres is the pen name of a contemporary realist novelist recognised for her unexpected plot twists and compelling characterisation. Her debut novelette, Caught on the Web, was published in 2018, followed by her novel, A Glimmer Through the Breach, in 2022.

Before embarking on her writing career, Ms Ayres worked as an English tutor for over two decades. After earning a PGCE, she taught Basic Literacy in Further and Adult Education and continues to tutor English privately.

Born and raised in Manchester, UK, Ms Ayres is the daughter of an Italian mother and an English father. She resides in her hometown with her husband and two Burmese cats, surrounded by her three adult children (one of whom has Down's syndrome) and three grandchildren.

Alongside her fiction, she is currently working under her own name on a local history non-fiction book exploring the diverse cultural heritage of early 20th-century Didsbury.
